It’s been two weeks na, hindi ko pa rin ma-access ang Authy account ko (not receiving SMS and calls from them). And then realized, I made token backups for offline use, thank goodness.
Never ever use cloud based 2FA apps, especially Authy. There is a potential that accounts will locked out forever. I’m considering Aegis (exclusive Android app) for my TOTPs, and monthly backups.
P.S. If you turned on your 2FA on your Lemmy account/s, Authy’s generated codes don’t work. So kung may access pa kayo sa accounts niyo, DISABLE it immediately, use another 2FA app like Aegis, 2FAS, Raivo.
I thought only I had a problem with Lemmy and Authy not working together.
I’ve never had any problems with Authy aside from this, actually, but I have also started to migrate to a different TOTP solution while still keeping it as a backup.
It does suck that there’s no native way to get the TOTP secrets from the Authy app itself.
You need to update your online accounts’ settings, one by one. Authy is a pain in the ass.

Finally caved. I created a new Lazada account after weeks of requesting them to cite the specific violation of my old account. I still maintain that the flag on my account was a false positive.
I want to initiate account deletion for my old account, but 1. I think I still have items that are still warranty covered and 2. I have a weird attachment to my order history for some reason. Like it’s an odd snapshot of my life from a different perspective.
I recognize that this is irrational and hope to be rid of it (the attachment and the account) as soon as my purchases go out of warranty.
