If it’s not a real felony the body has ways of shutting that down. —some republican probably.

Or to paraphrase the man himself:

I better use some [handcuffs] just in case I start [committing crime]. You know I’m automatically attracted to [committing crime]—I just start [doing] them. It’s like a magnet. Just [crime]. I don’t even wait. And when you’re a star, they let you do it. You can do anything. Grab 'em by the [judicial system]. You can do anything.

Definitely he’ll use the 2nd. It’s like the “You’ll never see me again if I lose” all over again. It doesn’t count, since he didn’t lose!

Don’t worry. Just talked to someone today that was absolutely confident that no one knows what he was convicted of and it wasn’t unanimous. So they won’t have to worry about a “felon” in office. It’s simple really.

The part that really scares me aren’t the loons disconnected from reality, but the normal people who cannot believe that there are such stupid people in the world.

Just constantly and for ever going around thinking, “I can fix them if I tell them Y!”. No. No you cannot. They are idiots emotionally vested in NOT believing reality. You cannot fix them by reminding them of what they’re actively ignoring…

Not really, or at least that isn’t primarily what’s happening now. I can’t speak for everyone but I take issue with their blatant refusal to acknowledge facts as facts. Opinions are by definition subjective. Facts are not.

For example, if you repeat Trump’s lies when he says “I never said ‘lock her up’.” then that is not an opinion, that is a factually incorrect statement. There are tons of ways to prove that he did in fact say that on multiple occasions. You don’t get to hide behind ignorance when you’re wrong about an objective fact. It doesn’t stop them from trying but it doesn’t change reality either. That’s the kind of thing people get shit on for most. Not policy disagreements or whatever else conservatives want to pretend they’re being shit on for.

Now, upon first glance, one might be tempted to conclude that this showcases an instance of hypocrisy - Trump demanding a clean rap sheet when it concerns others and being perfectly fine with getting power any which way himself, but upon closer inspection, it is obvious that this seamlessly fits into Trump’s system of moral standards, that system being best described as “ME ME ME ME ME ME ME ME ME […] ME and also me”.

So, it is really important to recall and reframe these statements. But I really hate “news” about old news “resurfacing”. Because it’s literally not news and hasn’t been for a long time.

It’s an expenditure of the outlet’s credibility to do the job of a different type of media. Even if I agree with it, I just expect The Independent to be slightly closer to a tabloid than a serious publication now. Let the DNC & pundits field this messaging.

Totally random social media person is another bridge too far.

Oh well, since it’s here anyway I hope it helps at least a couple people move their mindset forward.

I know you’re desperate and upset with reality right now, but the entire 40 minute speech is on youtube from 8 years ago. Deepfake! Fucking pathetic, really.

… Yes! That’s like a severely stupid thing to say, it’s not as though Trump dickriders would insert themselves into places they know they’re not wanted like say society or less see… The capital.
