Surprising to see so many on lemmy not watch the video, or recognize that it is by Second Thought.

I watched this video earlier today and it didn’t contain any particularly new or insightful information for me, but that’s almost entirely because I’ve been somewhat politically active for a while, which I don’t think is strictly his target demographic at this point.

Second thought’s videos were very uncomfortable but informative when I was first learning about socialism.

Again, just surprising to me that they aren’t more popular in this online space.

Not really. He calls out headlines from news articles for actions that happened but not for his main claims.

First ten seconds in and he’s full of shit.

His claim is a conspiratorial garbage that “it’s by design”. This claim is never backed up by evidence. It has been debunked thousands of times and anyone that still spews it is doing it intentionally. This guy is 100% on the anti - establishment grift that is so popular on YouTube.

And what exactly has that wall done if the rate of illegal border crossings is so high? Or is that dems fault as well? Talk about echo chamber…why don’t you get out of yours.

You almost realized the Dems shouldn’t be building the wall. Almost. Grind those gears a bit more before commenting.

$150 billion in student loan forgiveness

40% reduction in carbon emissions by 2030

Income inequality going down for the first time in God knows how long, with working class wages rising faster than even pretty historic inflation

If you are invested in things like, I need you to not raise corporate taxes, or I need you not to send weapons to Ukraine, then I am sure the Democrats have been very disappointing yes. But there are a lot of people for whom that is not the viewpoint.

I have watched a couple of Second Thought videos before. I don’t think I need to augment the experience any further.

(Actually I did just click on it, play a few seconds, and then click away, to damage their ranking slightly in the algorithm.)

So brave. Almost had your world views challenged there because the points you brought up here get debunked in the video.

Good thing you came in here to comment on this post instead.

Thanks for showing your true thoughts, so I can tag you in Lemmy as a trump supporter and more easily see right through you in the future. I would suggest others do the same to easily identify these sycophants.
