What a legend. Take some well-deserved time for yourself.

Is it cheap for me to pick “Dancing Mad” from FF6. It’s just so epic, and it feels like it so accurately represents Kefka’s madness together with the seriousness and impossibility of what our heroes are setting out to do.

I’ve been conditioned to fear the worst when reading a headline that starts with someone’s name. Glad to hear he’s just retiring. One of the best composers of all time.

Oh man, sad to hear but he more than earned his retirement! My favourite pieces by him are probably One winged Angel for FF7 and Answers for FF14.

He is an inspiration. Take some time for yourself. You earned it.

I always liked the Black Mages.

Me too. It didn’t mention that side of things, but I doubt he is up for more Black Mages either.

I thought he announced his retirement last year? or was that one of those “one more project and then I’m done” kind of announcements
