So they’re going to pay the UN to put it back up, right? … Right?!

They are already being called hamas just for being there. Then they might as well defend their positions, as they would do if any enemy force attacked them. Israel gets away with too many privileges.

What were they watching out for anyway? That is clear for Hezbollah to fire rockets?

They don’t need a watchtower to not even try to implement UN1701.

Contrary to Israeli lies UNIFIL is fullfilling their mandate as best as is possible in the given limits. eing shot at by Israel certainly doesn’t help.

UNIFIL conducted 18 Patrols a day looking for illegal weapons in the area in the period from February to June. They removed multiple Hezbollah weapons caches.

They also dilligently monitored fire from both sides in the area, with an overwhelming majority being Israeli attacks. This also explains why Israel is eager to remove UNIFIL monitoring capeabilities.

If the UNIFIL mandate was expanded to include proactive fighting, it would be against Israels interests as the majority of breaches of resolution 1701 are coming from the Israeli side.

The vast majority of breaches are by Hezbollah. Until the current round of fighting things were relatively peaceful between Israel and the Lebanese government.

That’s an obvious lie. If you bothered to actually read the report, you can see on page 2 that the vast majority of shots are coming from Israel.

How does your comment even make sense. No, seriously. Please explain it. How would the UN mission there be watching that “is clear for Hezbollah to fire rockets”.

Are you fucking insane or just a terrorist genocide supporter?
