“The best player you have played with?”

    Valverde: “Toni Kroos.”

    ‘Best midfielder today?’

    Fede Valverde: “Modric.”

Bro is trying to play both cards.

He’s either taking the piss or has bad hearing those are the only explanations

Unless you genuinely think City’s home atmosphere is better than Galatasaray lmao

Madrid came into the Etihad tied on aggregate, completely shit themselves, and got battered 4-0. Very recent memory for him.

Man City are absolutely formidable - competent management, incredible coach, team full of world class players. They are the golden standard that every club should strive to be, including Real Madrid

You battered us last season, won a treble, something we’ve never done, I’d say it’s completely fair to call City the current gold standard of football.

I mean currently, not historically. And it’s not just the money, as shown by PSG you also have to be able to manage it well, and City excels at it.

The obsession of either trying to tear down, or prop up our atmosphere/stadium is so odd lol

To add some nuance to the debate from someone who regularly attends games: yes our atmosphere is mostly shit domestically (other than in big 6 clashes etc) and it’s also shit in the UCL groups, and this is because an unbelievable amount of tickets get bought up by tourists or families (the club has an entire stand called the family stand). However, I will firmly stand by my opinion, that, on big UCL knockout nights when actual singing fans manage to get all the tickets, we have arguably the best atmosphere in England (yes im obviously biased but I (with blue tinted specs on) genuinely believe that).

The best atmosphere in England is still not even top 100 atmospheres on the continent so it doesn’t say much

But even then, there are much better atmospheres than City in lower leagues. PL stadiums are absolute libraries

I’m not sure about that. The Newcastle home game against psg with the whole crowd making noise throughout the game beats a few thousand ultras behind a goal being told what to sing by a bloke with a microphone for me personally but the average atmosphere at a bundesliga game is superior to what most premier league games get.

Factual statement. They go harder at ymca basketball games in Bosnia than at anfield. This should be common knowledge

This is basically true for all premier league teams. People love to wank themselves to death over the special atmosphere at anfield on champions league nights and while it can be special the average atmosphere there for league games isn’t anything of note. Atmospheres in England just aren’t the same as in Europe. We ebb and flow with the game a lot more than happens in Germany, Italy, Turkey etc. Personally I think when English atmospheres are good they beat out the constant noise of the ultras you tend to see on the continent but for an average premier league game the atmosphere tends to be not great.
