Yup, even new s9 draining 2x as fast on 10.1
Noticed my AWU battery dropping faster with the iOS 17.1 update when I hadn’t updated the watch. Usually I charge it every 3 days, but since the update I’ve had to charge it after 2.
Not as extreme as some others here, but still noticeable. Going to see what happens when I do update the watch 😬
My S4 is better with 10.1. Still not as good as 9.6.3, but better than 10.0.x.
Mine (S7) is draining as it sits on the charger. It chimes when I place it on the charger, the screen indicates it’s charging, but it just drains and FAST. If I put it in low power mode it will charge slowly but nothing prevents it from dragging extremely fast once it is off the charger or not in low power mode.
Update to 10.1 official, it fixes the bug

I’m on the SE 2. Updated yesterday and it seems to be about the same, if not better on 10.1.
Ok does everyone have the display on all the time?
Because I find that battery saving if you have that setting turned off…
and I haven’t had a huge battery problem with the Series 6, and I updated to 10.1 last night.
Well since I have an Ultra 1 with AppleCare+, thinking about getting “accidental damage” to get a replacement, hoping that the replacement comes with WatchOS 9

Same issue here. Went from 85% prior to surfing to dead 2 hours into surfing, with Surfline app running.
I updated mine last night and it’s still got 3/4 of the battery
