The WR and RB rooms are atrocious as well. Anyone who thinks that Rodgers would turn this offense into a capable one hasn’t checked the depth chart. Maybe in his prime and in peak physical condition, which he certainly is not. And he’s never had an o-line this bad.

The Jets’ offense is genuinely Garrett Wilson, Breece Hall, and players that would be on most teams’ practice squads. Not to mention what’s likely the league’s worst o-line, as you mentioned. Sure, injuries happen, but on paper this was an atrocious offense prior to the season starting, a fact ignored by the shiny new toy acquisition of Rodgers.

This isn’t hyperbole. Sure, Lazard is good at blocking, but he isn’t a pass-catcher. Dalvin Cook is the worst RB in the league and Michael Carter was nearly cut last offseason, and he certainly will be cut this year.

The options behind Lazard are Randall Cobb and an undrafted player who walked off the game week one but hasn’t shown anything in two months since then.

I genuinely assume, based on Douglas’ inaction, that they intended this year to be a wash after Rodgers went down, hopefully nabbing a high draft pick to address OL for Rodgers next year, or even a future QB depending how bad they were. Unfortunately for the front office, the defense is elite enough to point where fans aren’t apathetic, and see this as a major missed opportunity.

“I plead the fifth.” -Robert Saleh when asked why Zach Wilson is starting.

Joe Douglas’ inability to acquire talent on the offensive side of the ball, both in the draft and free agency, will undoubtedly result in his deserved termination following next season. Utterly laughable that the offensive side of the ball was apparently his calling card with the Eagles.

He’s not. He absolutely is not going to play again this season. He just can’t stand not having national media attention squarely focused on him 24/7.

Aaron Rodgers is just an insufferable, Sheldon Cooper style nerd with lower intelligence that happens to be good at football.

Honestly, I dislike Rodgers as a person, but I LOVE watching him play. With that said, I’d much prefer him to come back next season, fully healthy, rather than try and come back this season in a likely hopeless attempt to get a playoff spot.

This is without even mentioning that it’d be better for him to return next season as the current jets o line is awful, meaning Rodgers is just gonna come back and take a bunch of sacs. Hopefully next season jets use the draft/offseason to improve the o-line, while they are likely retaining most of their key players. Then hey, maybe they can even splash for a free agent top WR or trade for Adams. Next season just looks much brighter…

I hope his goal isn’t to be the first player to tear his Achilles twice in one season, because I think that’s where we are heading.
