Disney+ in the Philippines considers screen mirroring as screen recording?

Disney+ thought my Logitech wireless gaming headphones (they come with a USB dongle to plug in wherever) was a screen recording device. Idiots

I could have sworn that there were sketchy methods or cables that could spoof an HDCP single in cases such as this.

I may be misremembering that though or it was from a time before the standard was fully developed.

There are HDCP strippers but they are hard to come across, there are also other extractors that just so happen to work as HDCP strippers.

I am actually able to pull this stuff off by using a USB-C docking station with an hdmi port, but not a direct connection to the screen.

Not sure if that’s well known, but my fiancé and I have our parents Netflix account which works flawlessly thru my phone using this method.

Ok what’s the difference between that and a streaming box? Just let us use the features on our devices!

I read an article that some multi HDMI plugs strip the HDCP which allows them to not detect this. I’ve not tested it yet but worth looking into

Well I assume that the video output is not HDCP protected? Therefore it assumes you could be recording the hdmi signal or something.

Pirate this shit, stop supporting such behaviour. Companies have gone from selling you a physical copy of something that you could what you wish with to this type of shit. Do they forget that streaming services is what saved them in the first place?

I ask this risking sounding dumb, but can’t you mirror wirelessly? I just swapped to iPhone so I don’t know, but on samsung i just used “smart view”. Now that I write this it seems to be a monitor but since I wrote all this I might as well finish. Anyway, how can I mirror my screen (can I) without buying one of those apps on app store? The thingy from drop down doesn’t recognise my smart TV
