Sean Payton & Drew Brees, Mike Mcarthy & Rodgers, Brady & Belichick. All were once revered coach and QB combos but once the QB leaves, the coach doesn’t seem too good anymore

Everyone here keeps parroting “lack of Brady” but if you think Joe Judge would’ve been a winning head coach if he had Brady you are an utter moron

After reading his letter to Trump it became clear he’s a halfwit who was carried by his QB.

It’s very much a rarity for a guy to be cut out to be a head coach. I don’t wanna debate the talent level of these coaching trees but bottom line is being a head coach is a totally different beast than being a coordinator or positions coach. We take the good/great ones for granted.

Also situations/rosters matter a ton in football.

Because he was completely protected by Tom Brady for 20 years. Outside of him, he’s a below average coach. Facts is facts.

It’s very simple when you think about it.

Bill Belichick perfected a system of coaching over his years and one that entirely worked for him. To be a coach under him in that system you had to buy into his ways, it works when he’s head honcho but not when you try to emulate Belichick. He found just the right puzzle pieces and made them work. He didn’t need the hot up and coming coaching talent.
