I know this is extremely unusual for the Steelers, and a lot of times the mid season firing is kinda a desperation move. Is there any chatter about Tomlin being on the hot seat? I figure with there being rumors about Belichick not being untouchable anymore in NE anything can happen.

To the guy who told me …“firing people before the season is over is just not what we do, he have pride in our team”

It seems that you don’t… Seriously tho he should’ve been gone 5 games in…What took you guys so long.

I’d expect a more colorful announcement from Tomlinson.

“Matt knows, as I do, that you can’t shit worms unless you eat a lot of dirt first….”

I’ve personally called for Matt Canada’s head, but now that he’s been fired, the timing feels strange. What is the upside?

I would’ve understood and was 100% behind firing Canada a month ago when Ask Madden would be less predictable, but I’m hesitant after he’s made adjustments and has called better games these past few weeks. Not great, but there was noticeable improvement. What hasn’t improved is Kenny Pickett, who has regressed tremendously. Some of that is probably injury, some might be caused by the scheme, but you have to acknowledge Kenny might not the guy.

Last weekend, the Steelers averaged 6.6 yards per carry and rushed for 170 yards. They scored 10 points and Kenny only managed ~70 through the air. Some of that’s the drops, but Kenny was also inaccurate and lacked awareness.

Unless the next man up is a QB whisperer who can fix Pickett, where do we go from here?

Tomlin is next! 3-7 the last 11 years in the postseason! The success left when Cowher’s personnel left. He can’t win with a team he constructed! Fire Tomlin now!
