I’ve done this a few times. It’s because the Crown is recessed and if I’m being lazy, I’ll press flat against the entire side of the watch and that will press the side button along with the crown and a screenshot is taken.
After reading some comments, I guess it’s not that common.
But it does happen to me a lot. I have my watch orientation reversed (most would say upside down) because my jacket and ski poles straps hit the buttons when the crown faces towards my wrist. So I am using my thumb to hit the crown and I take inadvertent screenshots pretty often.
Same here. But I never had it enabled until the ultra. But I’m sure it would have been just as bad for me.
Hmmm, this doesn’t seem to happen with my Ultra.
I have screenshots enabled and my question is also “How?”
I have 0 accidental screenshots with my Ultra. In fact, I often find it difficult to even get both buttons pressed simultaneously to get the screenshots when I actually want them. How the fck you doing this???
Gotta be wearing it way too low on your wrist. There’s no other way!
Needs to be above (towards shoulder) of your ulnar, like any watch since watches.
Mine is enabled, have never taken an accidental screenshot (ultra 2). I can’t even remotely touch any button accidentally, must be wearing it awful low or something.
Agreed. I don’t even realize how I"m taking them.
Hmmm, this doesn’t seem to happen with my Ultra.
i have zero. weird.
Damn, seems like Siri is threatening you. Are you alright? Blink twice for help!
I felt a big increase in quality of life when I finally turned off Apple Watch screenshots. Because of this problem.
However I eventually turned them back on because I wanted to screenshot something. And have not turned them off since, so the screenshots are piling up again.
Wish it was a simple control center toggle.
Funny, i dont even know how to take a screenshot on purpose! :) I assumed it couldnt be done.
Add me to the enabled but have never accidentally triggered a screenshot club
I turn screenshots off. The two button click is much more useful to pause/unpause workouts
