It means he will now face a three-match ban rather than one and the Mail reports his language towards referee Anthony Taylor was ‘personally abusive’

Personally abusive? I’m guessing he was asking if a hair pull is a red card offence? Or if he’s certain that he should be awarding a penalty, considering the one he gave for Newcastle against Wolves was a complete error. Or if he’s come to terms with the fact he will never be given a European final again following last season’s Europa Conference final.

To be honest, Taylor is one of the worst refs in the league. He would probably take personal offence to Dunk asking him if he was sure, considering how arrogant and clueless he seems to be half the time. I look forward to him being fucked off to the championship for another week.

      face a three-match ban

I don’t think that’s right. Van Dijk only got an extra game for “personally abusive” language, so I’d bet Dunk gets the same.

I think we need transcripts of what a player says to officials to warrant a red or yellow card. It’ll be the only way players alter how they speak to refs as they will be concerned about their image and brand.

have you seen f1? expletives definitely does not alter image and brand. in fact, the people love it, because you know, much more relatable!

I think it would in relation to dealing with officials. All the F1 expletives are between team members rather than to officials.

I’ve got no problem with players swearing at each other at all because like you said its more relatable and its real life.

Using F1 as an example if Toto started swearing at the race director after THE final race last season with the horrendous decision with the safety car I feel like he would be in trouble.

Bruno Fernandes does this almost every game for almost every foul, and yet nothing gets done.

Here’s another one for you. We are closer to 2050 than we are to 1990.

This one is for the 90s kids

At this moment in time, the year 1990 is almost 34 years ago.

While in the year 1990, the year 1970 was 20 years back.

Wait do you mean first straight red in 12 years or first red card for referee abuse in 12 years?
