My partner is very impressed by how quickly I can administer up to 4 different meds to our stubborn dog after her recent spinal surgery. No nonsense, just open the hatch and in goes the airplane. :D

Funnily enough, Schäuble said the same thing after 9/11 for years to come. I am so exhausted of constant fear mongering. It’s been 25 years of that shite now and instead of trying to limit / cut civil rights, how about actually doing things that actually work to prevent crime?

I’m still waiting and just tired of the right wing CxU crap mantra in Germany…

Pardon my French, but it was shite, to say the least. Right after our holiday trip, our dog became very ill. First the little critter was in pain, the next day she lost the ability to walk. Got her checked, including an x-ray scan and ultrasound, but none the wiser. A slipped disc was the most likely culprit. Went to another vet where my partner lives for a second opinion and we all agreed we should get her a CAT scan.

We took her to one of the best clinics in this part of the country and they confirmed what we were all thinking.

Pro: It only took 2.5 hours from her first exam plus CAT scan and surgery at that animal clinic.

Con: It set us back 4 grand.

Now the baked potato is on a lot of heavy medication, but at least she’s home after only one night as an inpatient at the clinic and she’s recovering fairly well.

She’s bored out of her tiny skull, wants to play, but isn’t allowed to (4 weeks bed rest ordered by the doc), but she’s slowly getting better. She can even walk a few steps without help again and her appetite is back, too.

Now we need to get her some physiotherapy. The stitches can be removed in about 2 weeks or so.

Fingers crossed she’ll be fine soon.

Dog had spinal surgery. Gave her meds she hated, fed her and carried her around for her evening walk. That plus heatwave equals a solid 3 for me now.
