WTF is happening? Are we devolving? Some unknown virus or prion making us dumber and easier to anger? How have we regressed so far as a society that we now are targeting weather radar?

I mourn for the future and I would love if it my daughter could grow up in the 80s and 90s like I did to see people weren’t like this, conservatism was on the decline, the world was uniting though music and cave together for the aids epidemic

I don’t go that deep into it. The entire political aspect to me is just strange, like opposite world level. For my generation any nerd stuff/fantasy/DND/gaming was usually mocked or discouraged by right leaning adults. And I considered most people into stuff like that left leaning as most of us did it to rebel against over overzealous relligious parents.

So to see stuff like lotr embraced by the right or incel gamers during gamergate it iis just very odd to me.

They’re going to try to push bot traffic, while keeping actual user numbers hidden. Then dump the stock before saying they banned all their users or someone leaks it. Personally I would like an investigative journalist look into their ban system and do a hit piece.

The site 15 years ago was great, yes there was trolling, you could call people a asshat, but it was still a good site. Now none of that stuff flies, no joking alowed, it’s like msn comments section. They killed what made reddit great and it was never at the level of 4 chan incels. In fact there quite a few social causes that did some good, all that’s gone. It’s just regurgitated shit.

It’s no small amount of people who have been permabanned and it’s happening more and more. Some of the oldest accounts are just gone. I gave up even trying to get around it.
