The hard set limit of #500-#999 is really frustrating when you also have to be careful not to overwrite certain kinds of “standard” program variables that your shop or company has decided on. I’m generally pretty OK with the limitations of these controllers and G-Code in general, but I would fucking kill to be able to use an array or to be able to declare a variable 😭.

There are plastics that can be made from renewable materials as well. Not that I’m advocating for 3D printed houses, I think that is a terrible idea, but not for any of the arguments made here.
Honestly, pretty much what I do now just probably a more glamorized or idealistic version of it. My favorite toys growing up were wooden building blocks and Duplo and from a very young age I (incorrectly) mapped what I enjoyed about those things to the profession of architecture and that’s what I always told people that’s what I wanted to do.
Luckily I was able to figure out that what I really enjoyed and wanted to do was engineering. As long as I’m designing things and solving problems I’m pretty happy. It doesn’t really matter what the context is.

Telling any of them that you didn’t vote for him isn’t going to make them feel any better while the amount of suffering he is causing us is a fraction of the suffering he is causing other people. I’m not saying you can’t be upset or that your suffering isn’t valid. It’s not a zero sum game, I’m just saying I think it’s worth understanding where the rest of the world might be coming from right now.
So Google won’t make APIs that allow developers access to RCS and therefore the ability to integrate it into third party messaging clients, but this is potentially kosher? Go fuck your hat Alphabet.

I did. It wasn’t an amazing movie, but it wasn’t bad. Given what it is I think it benefited from not being super long and feeling like it dragged on. I enjoyed it, but I haven’t watched a superhero movie in several years, and I saw it in a full spec IMAX theater.

I have some small nitpicks on how exactly he argued a couple of his points, but his over all point seems reasonable.
Would it make any sense to switch to some kind of physical application process? Not necessarily in person, but require the applications/résumés be mailed in? The advantage that these automated models have is that they are basically for the user to submit as many applications as possible. Requiring that the application be physically mailed would create at least some small barrier and cost that would mean the applicants wouldn’t be able to apply a near infinite number of times.
LawfulMasses did a video covering this exact question a week or two ago and explained the relevant details in what seemed to be a fairly clear manner. Keeping in mind that he is a lawyer but is arguing in favor of consumer rights and the AGPL so there may be a valid counter argument.
I don’t think I would be doing a disservice to try and summarize what he stated in the video, but my takeaway was that the plugin was an attempt to dodge the AGPL, but the AGPL specifically has measures for that kind of tomfoolery.
