One could argue this very thread and similar anecdotes shared are the issues you’re inquiring about.

And I’m not out here asking for Lemmy to be rewritten, I’m discussing the topic. It is my least favorite thing about Lemmy, yes, but that doesn’t mean I’m disatisfied. I think mods seeing voting is less than ideal, but to be clear, I also think it’s fine.

Nothing is perfect, and if that’s the compromise for the benefits of Lemmy, it’s an acceptable one.

Admins, not mods. Enormous distinction here. And I don’t understand why that information can’t be anonymized or attached to a user identifying number rather than username, but I will admit I’m not a develop not a sysadmin so I am a layman speaking outside my field here.

That mods/admins can even see who is downvoting is, by far, my least favorite thing about Lemmy.

If you are so pedantic so as to not consider the support for the banister as part of the banister, then frankly I have no interest in the necessary effort required to discuss this or any matter further with you.

If our view was from the top looking down at the bottom then the banister would be rotated 90 degrees towards us.

How are y’all arguing this? The banister makes it unquestionably obvious that it’s at the top. There’s no debate to be had here unless the banister was intentionally installed wrong just for the purpose of this meme, which would be crazy.

I don’t even call it piracy, because piracy has a definition that this doesn’t meet. I call it what it is: unauthorized reproduction. That’s it. That’s all “piracy” is, it’s literally just unauthorized reproduction. Doesn’t sound nearly as scary and dramatic when you call it what it actual is, does it?
