4·9 days agoSounds like a random event in Phoenix Point.
Your operatives discover an abandoned warehouse. Outside the complex glowing radioactive crabs guard the entrance. Do you go in or nope out?
YOU CHOOSE TO ENTER THE WAREHOUSE. There isn’t much here except a box of old video games and dvds from the year 2004. What do we do with this discovery?

10·9 days agoThe economic news keeps getting worse. I’m thinking I should get an xbox series x because the series s that I have kind of sucks and I’ve been meaning to upgrade for years. I can buy a series x if I sell my car but then there’s no more money so I’m screwed. Come on government. If we can’t buy houses or have a family we should at least be able to have mindless distractions 😆

1·9 days agoI haven’t got it because I’m poor but I really enjoyed their previous game. It had creative dialogue and it was funnier than gta 5.

Gaming@lemmy.zip•Sony Patents Buttonless Adaptive Controller With Customizable LayoutsEnglish
1·13 days agoI think the concept fits Microsoft mission - allowing people to connect with technology in different ways. That’s the name of the game. People whine about ai, but voice commands and ai assistants will be good for some people. No more screwing around with 10 point fonts on a 7 inch screen.
Apple products integrate with a lot of healthcare stuff, so it only makes sense if microsoft makes accessible products.

8·14 days agoWhile we’re here, the xbox adaptive controller is pretty cool even if you don’t have any kind of issue. It can be customised with third party button pads and arcade sticks which you plug into the adaptive controller. Great for playing basic games. I read that it’s almost like a keyboard in a sense. It’s quite big and you can add a lot of buttons.

Gaming@lemmy.zip•Yes, Paradox are aware that a “barrage of DLCs” can scare away new players, for all their bundles and discountsEnglish
1·14 days agoI’d consider buying 1 dlc pack for Stellaris but atm I just played the base game on GamePass to learn the basics. I think the other user in this thread had a point about the industry needing to make money constantly and not just make money upon release. I’m glad that paradox supports their games unlike other companies that make dreadful console ports to xbox and never update anything, even when the tools and advice exists from microsoft.
What I dislike more than paradox is these companies that publish a game and abandon it after a few months. They could at least update the graphics for Series S/X consoles but no, games like Aliens: Dark Descent and Batman are left with blurry 2012 graphics because the companies don’t care. Even worse is the games with freezing or crashing bugs.
Sure paradox charge a lot of money for dlc and they keep pumping it out but the same could be said for age of empires 2 and 4. If the game is worth it for you then you’ll buy a major dlc bundle and spend all your time in the game you like most.

1·14 days agoI think the base game stinks and it doesn’t give me much to work with. I can’t even do espionage without Nemesis dlc. Options are limited in my opinion. Same thing with cities skylines. Base game doesn’t offer much.

1·14 days agoThat’s true. I have a similar dilemma with war thunder. It can be expensive and I feel like it’s rage inducing. Surely buying a full game is better for replay value. Why spend extra when there are so many other options.
And so, I shop around. GamePass on Xbox Series S has been great for 2 months. It gives me a clear picture of what I might pay for in the future. Stellaris seems pretty cool though and they keep supporting it, which can’t be said for the bargain bin games that I pick up for pennies.

1·14 days agoStellaris is like cities skylines - really bland stock game. I think if you just buy pack 1 for stellaris it’s pretty good. That’s what someone on xbox told me. It’s annoying to research it but I think it’s hard to go wrong. More money = more gameplay options.

1·23 days agoI think most business and official correspondence has a bold subject line, and in the past perhaps they used full caps on type writers (what would I know, I was born in 1990). I like the idea of just putting the subject in the first couple of lines to make the point, sometimes having a dedicated subject line takes up precious space. I usually re-write several times over until it’s cropped enough to fit the subject line :)
