I object to the negative use of “Luddites”. Luddites were working class people who used direct action as their only means of bargaining. These were met with extreme violence, often ending in the death or execution of the protesting/rioting workers.

I think the Luddite movement bares many similataries to anti-AI sentiment today; particularly with general support for robbing AI data centres or ruining them in some other way.

Ohhh don’t tell anyone but I get all my ebooks from my cities library with Calibre. There’s an extension you can add that removes the drm (afaicr it was made by the same guy that created drm) and now you have the full ebook.
