$100,000 would cover an American doctor briefly asking, “So what brings you in today?” before referring the patient to a specialist who is not covered by their insurance.
Literally no. At least in my country. I mean, you pay sales tax at the point of sale, but people who make under a certain amount will get that money back when they file a tax return…
Everyone will have to pay taxes eventually unless they plan on dying before adulthood or are born into wealth.
Hell, in my country if you’re willingly unemployed (i.e not employed, not registered as unemployed, not in education, not retired, etc) , you don’t get free healthcare. So if you’re born into wealth and don’t wanna pay at least minimum wage worth of taxes, you have to pay a subscription plan to get coverage, or pay out of pocket for everything.
Basically, ain’t no free healthcare here without contributing to it. Or at least having the expectation of contributing to it if you’re a minor. You can of course escape the country and work elsewhere all your life having already received the benefits of the healthcare system in your formative years. But that’s few enough people that the system can eat that cost.
Some people don’t pay taxes, for them it’s still free. Literally. Now piss off
Oh no they don’t pay sales tax when they buy stuff, you absolute fucking moron?
