My problem with Anna Karenina is that Tolstoy framed the communist as a drunk resentful man, basically Harry du bois, which makes me wonder if they were inspired in this novel while modeling Harry.
Tbf I would probably be a drunk resentful man if i wasn’t trans and also have a very bad fear of alcohol
