Has anyone been able to get iCUE to work on linux? I have the new scuf envision pro controller and I would Luke to see if I can get it to work
iCUE is a bloated mess. It’s 2GB just for keyboard lights! I mean yes it can also control the lights of your Corsair PSU, or RAM, or what not, but that size is still not justified, and all I need it for us keyboard. The inefficiency of this software makes me lose confidence in Corsair.
Anyway, just use OpenRGB or ckb-next or something for Linux.
Running iCUE on Windows 11 as I type this, the main iCUE process takes 40MB of memory with some other processes making up total of 60MB.
I assume you’re using iCUE for input remapping and not RGB like some others are. Someone suggested input-remapper, but you could also try this service that turns your controller into a Dualshock.
Also, if I may push my opinion onto you for a moment, scuf is very very proprietary (ie. not linux-friendly) and also a known patent troll (they collect patents like pokemon). If those things matter to you, I would avoid purchasing their products in the future.
Garbage software, just use piper/libratbag
*ckb-next
ratbag is great, but doesn’t support Corsair peripherals.
