So it seems that GZDoom is not supported for Debian 12 (or Debian in general). What is the best alternative way to play DOOM?

      ZDoom is not supported on Debian, all they have are Ubuntu builds.

      I will look into Doomsday.

      Dosbox is fine but I am trying to play mods more than anything.

        I don’t want to read you saying unsupported for very common and huge source ports ever again. Install or compile gzdoom and get going. Nothing will stop you.
