I overheard one of my coworkers yesterday telling someone else that companies making everything into a subscription service was a result of the country “becoming more communist”. I don’t know where to even begin with that one.
Socialism is when things get bad and Communism is when they are at their worst.
Four Legs Good, Two Legs… uh… wait a minute, they’re changing it.
Ah tech feudalism, brought to you by ram shortage, sponsored by scam altman.
It’s because they think capitalism is when personal property.
I hear in communist countries 3 dollars only gets you a piece of chicken, a piece of broccoli, a corn tortilla, and one other thing. Sounds bleak.
I mean sometimes they give you rice & wheat as well😂 Oh & free healthcare & education
No broccoli, but this was ~80 cents and has chicken, eggs, tortilla, and some other things.

Friendly reminder: state capitalism is still capitalism.
I still don’t think swinging the pendulum to the opposite side will create anything other than differently colored extremes we will all have to face together.
That being said, I do wonder how much of the perceived ‘failings’ of socialism by capitalists stem from tumultuous periods in countries where any system would be destined to fail — for reasons inherent to those systems (and therefore easily explained away as ‘socialism bad’ when that fledging system collapses).
I don’t know, am I wrong?
