Uhh… because their current cooling sucks? You saw that flimsy aluminium heatsink, right? Not even the decency to offer copper + a vapor chamber in a thin and light $1500 device, that is crazy. And this is just at 15W on the newest 3nm chip, 120°C package temperature – it’s insane, Intel was given way more crap for managing similar temps with a higher power budget.
