Even though I think she could try harder to integrate, it’s clear they just want her gone at this point which doesn’t make it any easier. She never even mentions going back, but they constantly jump to that whenever there’s a problem rather than trying to find a solution. They seemed to really embrace her with the wedding and all but either it was for all for show or she’s really worn her welcome. TJ looks so fed up but that’s what he gets for deceiving her honestly.

It’s been pretty clear since she showed up that life in India was not for her. They really shouldn’t have ever gotten married. I don’t like her but living with your spouse and his family feels kind of hellish, especially in a foreign country. And the cow poop would have had me on a plane home by that night

She’s doing it to herself. Start at least trying to learn the language (which you should have done a long ass time ago.) Use a translator app. Look online for a local expat community or try to find local friends who speak English. Go out on your own and explore. Do something, anything other than just holing up and calling yourself a victim.

Depression is depression. You clearly have no idea what it means to truly be depressed.
It doesn’t matter if Kim is the most entitled spoiled brat in the world, depression is a mother fucker and she does not deserve to be treated how TJ and Fam think is okay.
I am quite familiar with depression. I am also familiar with the various ways one can attempt to deal with it. I agree that TJ’s family is terrible towards her. Her best bet would probably be just to leave; but failing that or in the meantime, she can either stay locked away or try to do something. Didn’t say that it was easy - but it’s necessary.

She can do this without learning the language. You can get around pretty easily with just English in Jaipur. However, going out alone as a white woman is actually not the safest. I constantly got sexually harassed — in broad daylight, in crowded areas — when I was walking around alone in India. And I was covered up in the local clothes, too.

I agree. The fact that she’s only gone downstairs 2-3 times in three months was the last straw for TJ and the family. They expect her to be with them daily. Plus, they expect her to be cooking and cleaning for them. I think they want her out so they can find a replacement for TJ.
If Yash was smart he’d find a wife the instant Kimberly leaves that way he can claim the apartment.

I don’t really like Kimberly in general but how TJ treated her in last nights episode was not okay. He was so dismissive and there wasn’t a drop of empathy he had towards her. Although her scream was childish, I can see how it came to that point for her.

I agree. A 30 year old screaming in a house in America like that with older adults would be disrespectful so I don’t know why doing that in another culture is supposed to be acceptable.

I agree. Most people would have left him but she chooses to stay in hope things would be different but he’s not very truthful at times and didn’t prepare her for this lifestyle! She needs to realize that things are not going to change and his family will use tactics to get rid of her. All this will lead to more screaming. She needs to realize the life she imagined it would be with him, not living with his family, is not happening. She feels she has no control of her life and she doesn’t seem to have the skills to get herself out of it.

Well…she’s not happy, never wanted to integrate, she knew this. She knew her and TJ were always arguing, his brother hated her…yet she went through with the wedding anyway. Foolish her and him.
They are disappointed that their imported maid/cook/housekeeper is not earning her keep. TJ is a jerk. He didn’t give her a clue as to what to expect or what her role would be even though he knew damn well she would have run.
You know I rewatched their segment last night and while Kimberly was not my favorite in the franchise, I felt genuinely bad for her. TJ is a narcissist chauvinist gaslighter. As soon as she started trying to share how she’s feeling he tells her go back to America. Instead of trying to be understanding, he automatically got defense and blamed her. Let’s face it, his mom and brother are passive aggressive assholes more than happy to hang up on her. This is really TJs fault anyways. Albeit she should have had a better understanding of the cultural roles, he is no way prepared her for the life of servitude she was embarking on. He even said during the wedding she doesn’t know. I’m sorry but I think it is important to discuss expectations before getting married. Also why the hell did he marry an American when he wanted a traditional wife? It’s like getting a wild horse, breaking it then being pissed off that it is unhappy losing its freedom. Like it owes you something for taking away the very best part of it. Plus, he was so doting and caring through the wedding until she was fully indoctrinated into his family cult. Then he changed because he cannot stand up to his mother and sees Kimberly as an inconvenience because she won’t step in line and be his maid/cook. When he tells her to go back to America she needs to go. From their little exchange this week it is clear that the family don’t like her and he will always put them first. I also don’t feel she is very safe. She cannot not get mental health treatment over there and narcissists can be very dangerous if even only verbally and emotionally.
