I think BB and the Pats are tanking on purpose at this point. They know they will draft top 3, and then try to make a trade with the Bears for Williams and I think the Bears will accept the trade.

There’s a world where they keep Fields and get both MHJ and Fashanu with these picks. Or they trade pick 1 for even more picks.

Crazy how no matter how high some teams draft consistently they just don’t seem to get better.

According to this article, of the top ten picks only the Commanders at #5 and the Giants at #6 need a quarterback. So either this list is whack or there are going to be a lot of trades on draft day.

I could actually see the Panthers winning meaningless games and the Bears having both picks in the 3-6 range, which means they’ll stick with Fields next year.

I felt much better about the Panthers pick before they fired Reich.

Just amazes me every year how at the draft every top QB is a sure fire franchise saver and then once they play their first game they’re a guaranteed bust.

But the problem is a few of those sure fire guys do work out and your franchise is completely different.

It’s a dice roll but one that’s consistently worth it.

        consistently worth it

Didn’t you just say that only “a few” of the players with this projection pan out? That’s the opposite of consistent value.

Well of all the positions to turn your team around QB is the most important, it’s just hard to play QB consistently well in the nfl.

Bucs are in that sweet spot of simultaneously contending for the NFC South title and the top pick next year

honestly, wouldn’t be surprised if lots of the fanbase wants to see them miss the playoffs.

makes it easier to move on from bowles AND making the playoffs locks them into probably the 18th pick of the draft since the 14 playoff teams draft last.

I feel like these lists just throw QB in as a need when they’re too lazy to actually figure out what’s wrong with a team. Sam Howell annoys the heavy out of me on occasion, but QB is not a huge concern.

The Bears are the most interesting project in the NFL. They can get Caleb Williams and the best OT in the draft to protect him. Already have a top receiver to throw to. I feel like the Bears could be the best NFC team over the next 10 years.
