I’m a true bibliophile. A compulsive reader. It’s a vital part of my daily life. But since certain bipolar symptoms have been agitated a couple of months I haven’t been able to read a word. Cessation of reading is my biggest red flag. But I feel like giving it a go today. And I’m really in the mood for Patrick McGrath. I own a few of his novels but not long ago received one named Constance. Thankfully I’m good at not letting unfavorable reviews get me down. But I’m nervous about it based on reviews. All us book fans have a home on book review sites. I just joined one and am having a great time playing critic on the titles I own. It’s nice to be heard on a wide platform. So here’s to hoping I can read today. Also are there any other Patrick McGrath fans. He loves to include psychiatry and gothic elements. I highly suggest his novel Asylum. Shock, horror, criminal insanity. It will let you experience the end. It can be looked at in a couple of ways.

As a bipolarbuddy this happened to me. It wasn’t the books, it was my brain. As you probably know a sign of bipolar disorder is starting book after book without being able to focus or fall into them. For me it was a sign to adjust my meds. Stay strong.

That happening is a manic element. I hate doing that. The whole problem is imbalances in certain brain chemicals.

It makes every day feel so void and lack meaning. I hope today it the day. Phase one of getting myself up and to an appointment was a plus. Phase to may give me an amazing boost it it’s like last week. I need my relationship with the words and characters back up. It’s as if a part of my heart has been working poorly all this time. Reading is like a vital organ. It’s an absolute necessity to live,

I’m on a drug for treatment resistant depression. Spravato. Got tired of ECT. And yes med adjustments are needed. My psychiatrist doesn’t really do much. I haven’t had him long. And he’s virtual. He owns to practice but is based out of one of their offices in a different state.
