Hi all, first time in this sub. I’ve been living outside the US for a few years and I’m thinking of coming back in 2024.
Upon return, is there a special enrollment period for medicaid/state health insurance? I would probably return in the middle of the year.
After living in a country with public healthcare, the thought of being uninsured in the US scares me.

A move counts as a “qualifying life event” for a special enrollment period when you can sign up for health insurance. You will go to Healthcare.gov and enroll yourself.
