You know who you are.

Get off League or whatever super competitive MOBA, FPS, fighting game and go play something you actually have fun playing.

Go play that RPG you’ve been putting off grinding rank just to get hard stuck because you’re playing frustrated and playing worse every match.

Go play that shameless weeb anime game you know you have a ball playing despite how dumb it is.

Go play that comfy game that sparks joy.

Get the crew together for some party games.

Go have fun.

Where my Dungeons 4 players? Just got into the series after wanting to for a few entries.

Thanks, Game Pass, I’ll now likely go and play the others.

I used to play with a group of friends and I was ALWAYS stressed out. Thing is, I would compromise and play games they wanted to play, but when I suggested something else we could play, they always disregarded it and acted like I never said anything. Sometimes I would even buy them the games if it was cheap enough to get them to play, but nothing ever came out of it. Long story short, I cut ties with them and just play by myself now, but games I actually like, and it’s like I discovered gaming again. Moral of the story: find your fun, don’t look for it in someone else’s.

I thought I was doing that when I started Elden Ring. One playthrough later I can say I didn’t have much fun

Lately I’ve been also needing to play something that’s fun and can be played in SHORT BURSTS!

Like don’t get me wrong I love Baldur’s Gate 3, but that game requires so much time that I just don’t have.

But preforming some smokin sexy style combos in Devil May Cry 5? Now that I can do.

    Just did that.

Played one game which was rarely fun but I “had to grind” to be able to play rare fun parts of it so I gave up and went to play game I actually find fun.

Only thing I regret is not quitting sooner.

Uninstalled Valorant, uninstalled League. Always hovered around gold in both, especially now it is smurfs vs unstable people in that elo, also riot games way of handling ranks (lose 2, 3 games and you will start getting - 22 +16 lp) making the grind even more unbearable. Decided that after a decade of playing these games it was time to accept that it is truly pointless to play them and I don’t have both hands and mental strenght to continue.

Bought Baldur’s Gate and Cyberpunk - it truly reminded me that games can actually be fun.
