I always somehow find my way back to playing No Man’s Sky. No matter what I do, game I play, activity inside or outside of gaming, NMS is always there to play and chill. Sometimes I go on creative and spend a week amassing the perfect color coordinated team of ships, crew, frigates, and freighter.
That and every content update we get for free!
Hades, always seem to have time to squeeze in a run
Hades 2 this summer I think
I was just recommended this game for the switch by a coworker. Maybe I’ll try it out!
I haven’t played Hades but I’ve put a ton of hours into Dead Cells. They seem similar
Is it replayable? I get that you die a lot, but is a second playthrough just as fun?
Maybe not the 2nd. But the 30th? Yes.
JMO, although the game is well made (and it did entice me to grind out a lot of the extras), I’ve never wanted to go back to it since putting it down.
I think it’s a solid 7/10 game, that makes you feel like it’s a 8.5 or 9 on the first play through.
Not that they’re exactly comparable, but I think Dead Cells was a way more addictive Roguelike if that’s a genre you’re just getting into.
You don’t start a lot of the game until you beat it. I think you have to “win” like 10 times to get the full ending? And even then there’s still more to do
I know you didn’t do this on purpose, but I just have to point out how funny your comment is lol
The game is specifically designed to be replayed. It’s the whole point. For most people, the “first playthrough” only lasts a few minutes. Each playthrough gives you more abilities and weapons (while taking you down new paths and throwing new challenges and story beats at you) you that help you go further as you “replay” over and over and over again.
Yeah you really gotta play through a bunch to unlock the whole story an you want to because it’s excellent.
You can add “Heat” to each run which makes the runs more challenging, things like more enemies, more dangerous traps, tougher bosses
Replayabilty is the entire point of the game, its a roguelite. You unlock more weapons and augments as well as harder difficulty challenges as you play and mix and match different god combos with different weapons making every run feel unique.
Its not really a story based game you play one playthrough and put done forever.
Also, takes ages to beat Hades, like any Roguelike
Monster Train is one of my faves, and took me ages to beat Seraph, let alone on C25. Now I’m ready for the DLC (please devs, a new DLC. I know you have a new game too)
Meh, the 2nd proper Playthrough is the next stage
Usually after you’ve failed a lot and used your best weapon. Roguelikes and similar games, you need to replay, and they are always worth a run
