Just download the HDR+Ultrawide+DLSS+RT Patch file from this page and extract it to the game directory.

Anyone have an idea of how to get the HDR option to show up in Elder Scrolls Online? It doesn’t appear as an option in game when running it on the OLED SD. I believe this is normal when there is no HDR functionality detected by the game so I’m wondering how to force the game to detect it as an option.

As this is called a guide I have some questions. Does your HDR look good? Do you tweak HDR settings at all?
For example when I enable HDR in Ori the whole screen gets darker, colors pop less. Some might say it looks more natural, but it also loses a lot of details. Almost all the leaves in the lower left corner are now just dark space, but with HDR off I can see each separate leaf in shadow. I thought HDR was all about bringing out more detail?
In Horizon when turned on the HDR also makes everything very dark by default. I’ve compared it to HDR on PS5 and it’s also dark, but the colors are much more lush, and it’s nowhere as dark. For example in the first interactive part of the game where Aloy is in a cave on SD she is basically black, while on PS5 she looks like someone standing in shadow. SD loses a lot of detail in shadowed area again. I tried adjusting sliders in HZD and by putting HDR brigthness on 60 and white point on 400 it was kind-of-close-to-PS5, but still looking noticeably worse. Note that my HDR TV is not top of the line, so I’d expect worse HDR on that.
Does the HDR work if you use Moonlight to stream for your desktop?
I believe that Moonlight doesn’t support HDR yet. Also, your monitor or TV (or HDMI dummy plug) will need to support HDR on your desktop for HDR to work through streaming.
I tried the Witcher 3 and the colors and washed out. Any ideas?
Control through GOG/Heroic doesn’t work
The Cyberpunk 2077 is Steam version i assume? I have GOG version and the HDR looks awefull in both settings available.
Also I can confirm, that Lords of Fallen works, just turn it on in game settings. Same for the No Mans Sky
Spider-Man Miles Morales works, just need to turn it on in the in game settings
FF7 doesn’t work out of the box for me.
For all newer games I use Proton Experimental Bleeding-EDGE.
I’m dying for HDR streaming to come via Sunlight/Moonlight and Xcloud/home streaming.
chaiki dev is also saying the oled streaming update is on the way! We’re eating good.
For RDR2 when does the HDR… happen? I started playing but I don’t see the HDR badge and I have it enabled in the game settings.
You need to switch to Full Screen mode for it to work, and go into the game’s HDR settings to make adjustments. By default they have it looking relatively low contrast.

- Hitman 1 and 3
- Redout Enhanced Edition
- The Division 2
Given the plethora of installation methods, can you clarify what you mean by “Works out of the box” when we’re talking about non-Steam games?
From my experience, games that are launched through the Flatpak distributions of Heroic or Lutris can detect the display’s HDR capability but can’t actually use it because the game is running through Flatpak’s Mesa distribution instead of Valve’s Mesa. I observed this firsthand in Diablo 2 Resurrected and Diablo IV running through Lutris; I’ve never tried an HDR game through Heroic.
A workaround for Heroic might be to use the AppImage instead of the Flatpak. A general workaround would be to add the executable as a non-Steam game, although this has downsides.
Run as a Non-Steam game directly on Steam.
I have these problems with Cyberpunk (GOG) and Diablo 4 which I both installed via Heroic. Can you post some more information on how to use the AppImage instead of Flatpak? Does it have any downsides?
I’m pretty sure the list only applies to Steam-native games.
Assassin Creed Odyssey’s HDR setting are greyed out, not sure how to get it working.
