I think protecting the rookie qb with the choice to kick field goals rather than going for it in high stakes 4th downs will pay dividends in the future. That type of forethought is what makes a smart, successful head coach.

    He’s lost the job with his coaching decisions. He won over the players by being bold and having fun. Getting cautious and losing games partially as a result of that undercuts the best thing he had to offer and exposed his unreaddiness to be a head coach. They should have kept Bisaccia. If they keep Pierce to somehow make up for that mistake, they’ll just be making a new one.

      LOL, he’s working with an underwhelming roster. First quarter? Take what should be guaranteed points every time.

      Raiders were outscored by Chiefs 31-3 after the first quarter. Going for it on a 4th and 1 in the first quarter doesn’t solve that problem.
