Im not much of a gamer (ironically I make games for a living) but I made a bet with my kids that if the Detroit Lions make the playoffs this year I’ll buy them a system, and its looking like almost a lock to happen, so I want to get in on some Holiday deals.

This is their first non-Nintendo system so I’m a little lost on which way to go at this point in the generation cycle. For reference they’re 7 and 9 year old boys and are gonna be new to gaming that isnt based around crafting or Italian brothers. (i made them use my old NES, then SNES first, then got them a Switch a couple years back)

And maybe OP doesn’t wish to pay a monthly subscription fee for a console that his kids will use that telling them it’s free is not full context of the service itself. Literally use your brain a little, you’re so ticked off by me just stating a factual statement “it’s not free, it’s a subscription” lol.

I you used your brain you’d realize nobody said game pass was free and OP is probably not stupid and checking what game pass was is probably the first thing they did when they heard it mentioned here, if they didn’t know beforehand.
Why do you think everyone is stupid? That’s not things you should have to warn people about, yes paid subscription services cost money, they’re clearly advertised as paid options, it’s not a fucking grey line in an insurance contract or anything.

Giving someone full context vs thinking of them as stupid are 2 very different things but ofcourse you wouldn’t know that much because you’re too pissed off on behalf of a corporation to realize that.
