The VAR official who flagged the handball has been stood down from Sociedad vs Salzburg…
I heard that you need to reach at least 2xg in a game to be able to complain about officiating. Otherwise it’s that you didn’t create enough to win the game and can’t have any complaints, oh that’s just us…? Ok
Nothing less than a 5-0 win and a Lewis-Skelly debut tonight
throw in leo messo at 89’
The Newcastle schadenfreude I’m enjoying today is just 🤌🤌🤌get wrecked oil barons
4 years to the day since emery was sacked, what a great moment that was there shall be no revisionism about his time here on this day
I cried tears of joy, 4 years to the day.
When we win UCL this season I will purchase a Frankfurt shirt with Daichi Kamada on the back
I remember that Emery made me fall out of love with the club. These were the dark days!
Is this midfield enough to survive this winter? (9 games in 30 days )
DM - Rice / Jorginho
Mid - Trossard/ Havertz / Ode
*Assuming Partey, ESR and Veiria doe play till 2024
Why am I seeing the media praising Newcastle’s performance last night and they didn’t deserve to lose???
PSG had 31 shots, 7 on target. Accumulated almost 5xG and created NINE big chances with 73% possession.
Newcastle had 5 shots the entire game. Okay, the penalty PSG got was bullshit but they should’ve had two penalties before the one in injury time was given.
Newcastle didn’t “deserve” a single thing, just like in Milan they were lucky to not be on the end of a hiding.
The only player who wasn’t embarrassing last night for them, was Nick Pope.
The word ‘deserve’ has no place in sports unless there’s been a refereeing error imo. This penalty is not one, the rules of handball and ‘unnaturally bigger’ are just way too subjective. Also there’s nothing in the rule that says if the ball hits another part of your body first it’s not handball.
And yes, with 4.5 xG and 9 big chances, PSG win this around… 95% of the time?
Newcastle are the darlings of the media atm.
What a great job Eddie howe has done and hardly spent any money!
Erm what!? His spent over £300m since they took over.
You see if Newcastle had scored more than one goal against PSG then they wouldn’t be in this situation. They brought it on themselves really.
Al Anshearer is the biggest hypocrite in football. What an utter twat. Almost makes me wish Kane stayed in the PL to break his record since it’s the only thing keeping him relevant.
Would you rather have Newcastle eliminated and we get psg in next round or Newcastle qualify and we get someone else
St James’ Park in a Champions League knockout game, hell naa
Mate we can’t get Newcastle in the next round, my question was more like would you happy to get Newcastle eliminated even if it meant getting psg in next round
We can take PSG, Newcastle out.
PSG is overrated, I’d be more than fine drawing them in the R16.
The media fawning all over that oil club is nauseating AF.
Just remembered how Partey came on against City and completely transformed the team
Just want him back ffs
TIL there’s a newcastle sub and it’s the most delusional sub on reddit. They are talking about how they are gonna sign the next Alisson and win the CL soon.
The handball rule is so weird, that being said, fuck Newcastle. They should just “move on” from this. It’s not like they did enough to win anyway, I hope AC do them a proper one and they go to the EL. I can’t stand that stupid team.
It’s just a UEFA rule, that the oil club must always win but here two stood against each other, so the ref got all confused
Newcastle players, coaches and fans should respect the referee, mate.
