IPS is best for handheld gaming, unless its used an hour per week. Then OLED would be good for better batterlife, however, that advantage gets less and less over the months due to having to use more power to get the same brightness. Unless the OLED is very easily replaceable, ie, not glued in, IPS is best for year long use. Most handheld gameing is hours per day, OLED can’t last that long under that heavy use.

You could get the 64GB model for around 2600 BRL in 3x installments on Shopee last weekend. It’s still overpriced compared to the official markets but as far as it goes, it’s surprisingly cheap. I paid 3300 for mine and then an extra 600 BRL in accessories (a dock + 512GB microSD + 1TB NVMe) earlier this year and back then it was an absolute steal.

I’m not sure myself if most people will upgrade to the OLED model here but if you look up in more niche communities (like FB groups), you could probably snag an barely used one for around 2600~3000 right now depending on storage size and additional accessories.

Carinha, I don’t see that happening until Deck 2 is released. Most people here tend to keep their tech for a long time. One can hope, of course. But all I wanted was an official Valve seller, even if through importing.

This is really a bizarre metric, isn’t it? It’s a “global top seller” among what? Steam software. Other handheld PCs aren’t in that market. The only electronics available to buy from the Steam store are Valve electronics. What’s the point of listing the Steam Deck among Steam games as a sales figure, and caring about that value?

Show a statistic that weighs the sales of the Steam Deck against other handheld PCs in the same market, or even other mini PCs or prebuilts, and it will be an interesting statistic. Currently this statistic doesn’t make sense.
