I dunno man, I’ve had an A5 for less than a year now and I’m not feeling it. The movement is all over the place, six minutes ahead one month, five minutes behind the next, etc. The sapphire glass is bullshit. I hit a wall turning a corner and now have a nice scratch across the front. And there’s pretty much no customer support. Yes, you can write them and eventually they’ll write back but they really don’t seem to want to deal with any problem. In my case, the watch I ordered wouldn’t set the date correctly; every month would be days of trying to get it right so it would change at midnight instead of four o’clock every afternoon. After emails and emails I finally gave up on their ‘support’ and took it to a local watchmaker who fixed it. This probably invalidated my warranty but I don’t feel like Vaer has any staff or ability to deal with support issues, so really, it’s just a warranty on paper anyway. Oh, and right on cue they send me an RMA right after I got it fixed. LOL. Of course!

I was really excited about this watch but less than a year later it’s just a beater and a reminder I made A Bad Choice. For the money I could have gotten a cheap Seiko or Hamilton. So if you like the A3, get it. Just be aware it has no resale value, it might have issues, and there’s no support for it from the mothership.

Wow this is very helpful. Thanks for letting me know. Probably won’t move forward with this in this case. I’m trying support micro American made watches but not sure this is it.
