Hello friends, do you reset your iPhone? I have never rested my iPhone yet, more than 18 months since I bought it. But my friend adviced me to reset it every 6 months Is it true ?
I just “setup as new” a few days ago. I had a couple of bugs that had been so long standing I was convinced it had to be something wrong with my setup only and it was carrying over when I was restoring from backups. These bugs had followed me through multiple iPhone versions and multiple major iOS versions.
After doing the full reset and “setup as new”…those bugs still exist and it was a wasted effort.
Restoring from backup is fine.
I rest my iphone at night.
no, that does nothing unless you’re full on data.
It automatically does this for you when it updates so no need
Don’t reset unless you have an issue that would seem to require it.
Do you mean a hard reset like wipe data and put it in factory default or a hard reboot with volume up/down, hold right button?
I’ll only do it when there’s a major iOS update and only when my iPhone is acting up or just to reset when the storage of the apps exceed a point where I just want the space back
Hehehehehe
Reset means rebooting the phone? I only do that when I update OS or I encounter an issue that forced me to reboot.
Yeah, maybe once a year, and only if I’m having troubles.
I’ve also heard some people recommend to reset your iPhone once a year. I’ve never done it actually, I don’t think it makes any noticeable difference, maybe it solves some problem that you have before restarting but if you don’t have any i can’t see the point.
No
Occasionally very rarely something doesn’t work as expected usually an app but sometimes even my ringers and/or notifications act strange so I will do a soft reset. (Just turning it off and back on)
That’s called restart not reset, don’t make up words to confuse more tech illiterate people.
iPhone „science“ reminds me of snake oil „science“
Only if you have a software issue that would require it. Which is very unlikely in most cases. I have only done this once and that was to reinstall iOS due to a software bug with one of apples native applications.
