Does the rest of Latin America put hot sauce and lime on their popcorn or is that just a Mexican thing? I ask bc it came to my attention recently that not everyone does this…
That’s predominantly a Mexican thing and the hot sauce that we usually use is Valentina.
Do you use El Yucateco a lot in Mexico? I have a bottle of it in the fridge, which I use sometimes.
Personally, I don’t. If I need a spicy sauce, we usually do it from 0 with a molcajete. Like this:
i bought one of these a month ago and it’s totally changed the game
Saludos compa. Yeah I put that stuff on everything, even soup. The maruchan noodles that come with lime and chile flavor just don’t taste the same as adding them yourself.
Hot sauce and spicy spices are predominantly a Mexican thing in regard to Latin America….
Y’all are missing out on chamoy.
Oh I’m definitely not missing out seeing as my work’s taken me throughout Mexico and the American Southwest. TexMex and Mexican food are easily in the top three best cuisines throughout the Caribbean and Latin America.
I do pity those who will never know the glorious chamoy though.
