I think LTT started well. But I haven’t watched in many years as the videos got more sensationalist and less honest. Linus is also a horrible boss and from what I have gathered a really unpleasant person since becoming a successful petit bourgois.

There is no better way to gain views than making drama, LTT is basically a “What if MrBeast did tech videos”.

From my memory, these are the main drama events I recall.

• They sold a fairly expensive backpack but with no warranty policy at all, and so some people asked for them to offer a warranty, and they responded by mocking them by saying it has a “Trust Me, Bro” warranty and then used that to sell shirts with that on it.
• Gamer’s Nexus pointed out that their testing and benchmarks is awful so it is very unreliable and misleading.
• One employee came out with a big drop that basically they mistreat their employees and such, which led to a big response video from LTT saying they were restructuring to address it.
• They also got criticism when the Honey scam was exposed because apparently they had already knew that the whole time but never told anyone it was a scam and kept that information to themselves.

Nuisance the algorithm keeps throwing at me when I’m looking up technical issues
