I’ve been playing Pikmin 4 and am now on what I am pretty sure will be the last area, have found myself taking my time, doing any and all side quests etc. just to squeeze more playtime out of it as I don’t really want it to end yet - wondered if others have had similar experiences.
Not quite the same thing but, I remember the Batman (1989) C64 port, when I got up to the last stage (belltower), I would make sure to lose all my spare lives and get down to very low health, before the climactic Joker showdown. Not so much to draw it out but to mimic the characters state in the film.
Now I just hoard all my player resources.
