They will get a point deduction so that they can survive in the PL. I expect 30 points.

If Everton was hit with 10 points for ONE violation, there’s no way 30 is sufficient for 100+ violations.

Fines + relegation is the only recourse. Not to mention Everton cooperated fully with the investigation and didn’t stall for years. If the PL wants to maintain ANY credibility in terms of their financial rules, they have to bring the hammer down hard here.

Biggest thing apart from the sheer number of allegations is that city have blocked and obfuscated at every opportunity.

Everton complied with the investigation and even volunteered some information and got 10 points. City should have the book thrown at them. But ofc they won’t

Assets should be seized (including trophies), all award money should be distributed to other clubs, and owner should be replaced immediately after verdict IF found guilty.

There is only one appropriate punishment for this: for every season they cheated they must going forward be managed by Tim Sherwood.

I would be well up for another trip down a few leagues. Last time it was great fun at away days.

I think they’ll do like 50, because it seems like a palatable number and with their win rate, and this years bottom loss rate, they’d still be comfortably in the league but out of Europe

I just can’t see a 50 point deduction happening and it doesn’t address the fact they cheated over multiple seasons, if found guilty.

They’d probably still qualify for the CL.

I’m hoping for mandatory relegation and a player exodus.

They’re going to get to the Championship just at the same time that Wrexham gets there from the other direction. That’ll be fun.

Seen this League One chat a few times… almost seems like normalising that’s where they’ll get relegated to.

Fuck that…. Send them to the National Leagues. By the time they get back, Wrexham will be in their place.

Relegate them to the Championship, players won’t be able to play there due to lack of high-level opposition, and make sure they start the season with -25 points.

I guarantee they will receive at most a punishment that people will not think is enough to match the breaches but not so outrageous that would risk mass protests from fan groups. Or, it’s entirely possible they use a media campaign and lawyers to sweep it under the rug completely and our extremely short attention spans will move on to something else. With all the corruption going on in the world, I cannot see them getting an adequate punishment.

The trouble is that a simple points deduction will simply say that breaking the rules to win trophies is fine. You can break the rules, win every trophy there is, including a treble, and then worry about the minimal consequences later. Even if they were relegated, it doesn’t matter, because they already have all the trophies.

Exactly that’s what happened in the baseball and the orioles. they should be stripped of their titles and in the record book it should say void. Even as an arsenal fan I don’t think it should be awarded to them that moment has past. But city shouldn’t get credit

Exactly. Cheat now, win everything and ensure the club has a structure in place to dominate for long into the future. Take a quick 30pt hit for 1 season wont scratch the surface and liekly still win 3 trophies lol.

      Cheating is the better option.

Strip them of all their titles, relegate them multiple leagues and fine them massively.

Everton had 1 charge, known to the prem, and got 10pts. 115 charges and refusing to accept it needs to be a smacked down hard.
