Surely it would place a massive asterisk on all the trophies won during his time at Man City? In future discussions on the greatest manager would this be a talking point which stains our perception on him? Or will he still be lauded as the greatest by some despite the wider context?

It wouldn’t be peps fault. He’s done exactly what the manager should do. The club? Yeah, tarnished.

The one question mark for me over Pep has always been that he’s only ever managed teams with a massive advantage over the rest of the league.

At Barca he had Messi and possibly the greatest playmaking team ever assembled. At Bayern… it’s obvious, and so is City… Even at Barca B, they were normally either in 2nd or 3rd tier and that year were in 3rd tier, so were one of the best teams in the league they were in.

At City he inherited one of the best teams in the league and underperformed until he got 200m worth of fullbacks.

He’s never done anything like winning the CL with Porto.

Man good at job, continues to do good job elsewhere.

I presume in your line of work you go and take the hardest jobs possible for the lowest pay just so you can prove how hard you can hustle to make a living?

Was it City or Pep who broke the rules?

If it him who did then too bad, but if he did not, in my books he’d still remain the GOAT that he is.

Badly, hopefully… they should be stripped off everything and all of a sudden the hype around him would dissappear.

    It wouldn’t affect guardiola

Unless it was something akin to match fixing or ref buying he’s in the clean. He doesn’t have anything to do with the clubs finances.

Honestly I don’t think it does. Football fans will remember the amazing football, record points totals, trophies etc.

Just because they’ve spent a lot of money he still has to coach them to be as good as they have been

Hes a great manager but of course his record would be tainted with the fact that all of his trophies at Man C came with an unfair advantage that they were found guilty for. They and he should be stripped of the trophies won as a result of this unfair advantage.

How would all of the big six legacies count if super league actually got punished, or we all realised it was the league saying no these clubs have to stay winning and protected and get special treatment like hello haha
