I’m on board with him as HC, with two important provisos:

    • He actually wants to work with AOC or a QB we can get in the draft without trading too far up. The reason he did so well the first time is because he really wanted to work with Carr and got the best out of him, but we’re not going to get that band back together now. I wouldnt want him to come back here purely as a rehab assignment, without thinking he can win with the core people we have.

    • He agrees to let the GM do his job and stay out of the war room on draft day. He can give input and preferences, but does not have veto power on personnel decisions.

      In this hypothetical scenario

      1. Why limit what he can do at qb? It’s the most important position and you want to Handy cap him? Let him go suceed and fail with his guy.

Plus idk why we would do that with or without gruden anyways. Why not take a swing at QB? Haven’t don’t that in over a decade. Don’t see a reason not too

      1. mostly agreed but not letting him in the room is too much. Also what on earth is the chance that Gruden agrees to that stipulation.
