    Economic damage at the state level (especially one with such a brief window) doesn’t seem likely to be effective in combatting federal actions tbh. Should make it a sustained federal tax paying strike, or at least something(s) with a more accurate aim.

          Thank you! I organized my first protest back at the turn of the century, when Dubya was manufacturing consent for the US invasion of Iraq, and over the years I have learned that more people respond to “come join us — it’s easy” than to scolding. Most Americans already know we should be in the streets; what remains is to convince them is that they can.
