I’m utterly baffled that this user self-identifies as anti-Zionist, but let’s assume good faith for a minute: what are they talking about? You would think that if you entered any leftist clique you would quickly find one of us citing The Protocols of the Elders of Zion, but so far I have yet to see anything close to that. In fact, even rhetoric that is coded as antisemitic is likely to be punished here. I can’t say that I have seen much antisemitic rhetoric in the leftist Discord servers that I have visited either.

Is there an antisemitism crisis among us that I am missing?

I’ll admit that plenty of us are disappointed that so many Jews are Zionists, but this is just a phase that these Jews will have to outgrow and are already slowly outgrowing. It certainly does not translate into blaming Jews for ‘everything’ either.

    Seems more likely they’ve made their profile private to prevent people from contextualizing statements like this, though.

    From the point of view of someone deep into zionist propaganda, everyone daring to call out Israel atrocities is antisemitic. The state of israel has invested a lot of resources into conflating antizionism with antisemitism, and many people have fell for this including actual people with leftist beliefs so maybe OP found one. It’s also worth mentioning that the vocal people on social media are not representative of any group or ideology, a person calling themselves a communist and spewing antisemitism does not mean the person is actually a communist nor that communists are antisemitic, i think OP lacks social media literacy.

    Also zionism, along with american chauvinism, is at this point in time the most reactionary political ideology that is organized, i.e. the most “far-right”， so it makes sense that “the left” for them is a very broad group that goes from even old fashioned nazis to even communists. In other words, its zionist brainrot.
