Is there a rule that makes me wrong to think the refs could’ve solved this themselves if they had an ounce of sense?

“Is it a fair punishment and trade if we ejected a player and a rando who got himself involved in a scuffle he shouldn’t have been part of?”

    “I’m not sure, we’re morons.”

If the NFL is gonna permanently revoke the credential of the videographer who interacted with Tyreek during the game, then I think this guy should get the same punishment.

Suspend the guy for the remainder of the season from being on the sidelines, fine the Eagles a nominal amount, and fine Sirianni a fraction of that for not being in control of the staff on the sideline, and be done with it.

Setting the precedent that both the organization and the Head Coach are responsible for what happens on the sideline will go a long way in preventing something like this from happening again.

Shouldnt siriani also get punished for having people on the sideline that are forbidden from being there?

I say let the guy off on a warning. I’m not a fan of fining lower level employees who don’t make massive salaries.

there is 0 reason why the head of team security should be on the sideline and 1 yd away from the field.

It’s Philly. Of course they have some fat hothead with a made up title like “Chief Security Officer” on the sidelines.

I’m glad Smell’o’vision never made it. Nick Siriani looks like he hasn’t showered since the superbowl loss.

Game thread was full of Eagles fans crying about it. Get your fucking goon squad off the sidelines, and certainly don’t get involved like that.

He is the only security guard in the entire NFL I have seen face the field the entire time and be anywhere close to the actual gameplay

Am I crazy or wasn’t there a similar situation in a Browns game within the past few years where an opposing coach made contact with someone from the Browns secondary on the sideline after a late hit?

Found it. The Chiefs RB coach pushed Ronnie Harrison on the sideline, which caused Harrison to push him back. Harrison was ejected and received a fine but the Chiefs coach received no punishment and was allowed to stay in the game.
