Nexus is currently working on a new mod manager. It supposed to support linux, windows and mac but it’s in a very early stage right now. Here’s a link to the github if you’re interested.
Hello,I managed to mod fallout 4 and get vortex working on Linux a few hours ago through steam tinker launch
A lot of mods will work, but most of the time you will have to install them manually. There are a few linux based mod managers out there, but how well they work for you depends on your requirements.
Completely depends on the game.
only mods I play with are steam workshop stuff and I only have one game that uses it, Space Engineers. I wish more did and not rely on some extra launcher.
I’m pretty new to this too. So far, I’ve been able to mod Resident Evil 4 with the Resident Evil 4 HD project mod, successfully. And Silent Hill 3 with it’s “Enhanced edition” mod. Also Vampire The Masquerade Bloodlines with the Unnofficial Patch and a bunch of graphics mods. But Mods or no Mods Vampire the Masquerade Bloodlines keeps crashing for me. So yes, it’s possible to Mod on Linux. Your results may vary
Lutris has a option to run a exe inside a installed game which is how I run mod pack installers.
Mods on the game should work as long as they aren’t hacking (hacking is doing things at runtime, modding is before runtime)
