Found that the Sennhesier HD560S 2023 Revision changed something with the adapter or jack and it’s not clear what. As u/RB181 states:

“The difference is that the original had a 3m long cable terminating in 6.3mm and a 3.5mm adapter, while the revision has a 1.5m long cable terminating in 3.5mm with a screw-on 6.3mm adapter, along with different fabric on the headband pad.”

“All HD 560S revisions use the same 2.5mm twist-lock connector.”

Does this mean that the 2023 revision doesn’t use the proprietary 2.5mm hole in the headset and uses 3.5mm instead? Or is it going to be the 2.5mm hole in the headset except the way to plug it into the PC has changed?

The question comes down to will the Voda Boom Pro Mic (3.5mm) work with the 2023 revision or will the ABLET Boom Mic (2.5mm) work with the 2023 revision? If either one works with the Sennhesier 2023 Revision then which one and would it be pluggable right into the PC with the boom mic cable?

The connector on the headphone end is still the same 2.5mm with twist-lock mechanism as on the pre-revision HD 560S (and HD 558, 598, 559, 569, 579, 599, etc.). Any aftermarket cable made for the pre-revision HD 560S, or one of the compatible models, will work the same on the post-revision 560S.

The revision changed the cable length (3m to 1.2m) and the connector on the source end of the cable (6.3mm to 3.5mm). In both cases, you get an adapter for the other type of connector on the source end, so if you don’t want to purchase aftermarket cables, it comes down to which length you prefer.

    Sorry for the confusion.
