For the last 1.2 years (2.5 if you count the dualbooting times) I have been using Ubuntu as my daily driver. I am thinking of changing to Arch, just to colourise my knowledge of Linux.
One of the main things that requires a lot of performance on my PC is gaming. It would be nice to have a similar experience at least.
Installation will not be a problem. In fact, I will install Arch the hard way, as I already did once in a VM and I installed Gentoo a few times to go with it.
Thanks!
Arch with kde plasma desktop and dolphin file manager and gamescope is the ideal gaming setup because that is what the steamdeck uses and so is the best supported in terms of both bugfixes as well as performance due to valve devs working on that combo of software configuration. Preferably on amd gpu as that is also what steamdeck uses.
Well, I have a 1080Ti, too bad for me.
NVIDIA works just fine. use the proprietary dkms driver. And maybe X11 Session. I still have some issues on wayland here and there.
